To be promoted to Lance Corporal you must:
- participate in the first year of the star training program for a minimum period of five months, and
- be recommended by the appropriate platoon commander;
To be promoted to Corporal you must:
- hold the rank of LCpI,
- participate in the Cadet Fitness Assessment,
- successfully complete year one of the star training program, and
- be recommended by the appropriate platoon commander;
To be promoted to Master Corporal you must:
- complete at least six months of service at the rank of Cpl,
- participate in the Cadet Fitness Assessment,
- successfully complete the second year of the star training program, and
- be recommended by the appropriate platoon
To be promoted to Sergeant you must:
- complete at least six months service at the rank of MCpI,
- participate in the Cadet Fitness Assessment,
- successfully complete the third year of the star training program, and
- be recommended by the appropriate platoon commander.
To be promoted to Warrant Officer you must:
- complete at least six months service at the rank of Sgt,
- participate in the Cadet Fitness Assessment,
- have successfully completed the fourth year of the star training program,
- have achieved enhanced proficiency in most subject areas including leadership and instructional techniques, and
- be recommended by the appropriate platoon commander.
To be promoted to Master Warrant Officer you must:
- complete at least six months service at the substantive rank of WO,
- participate in the Cadet Fitness Assessment, and
- be identified as a successful candidate through the merit review board process.
To be promoted to Chief Warrant Officer you must:
- completed at least six months service at the substantive rank of MWO, and
- be identified as a successful candidate through the merit review board process.
